The pitch accuracy of gear racks will determine the quality output of your application. Certain applications don’t require precision (up to AGMA 10), such as power racks that just carry loads from point A to point B. Applications that require pitch accuracy (AGMA 12+) for positioning, such as feedback systems, require a high precision gear rack.
Innovative Rack & Gear produces precision gear racks through two main methods:
- Soft-cut gear racks to accuracies of up to AGMA 10. We can soft-cut rack teeth in all types of material with hardness up to 40 Rc
- Hard-cut gear racks to accuracies of AGMA 12+. We can hard-cut rack teeth in all types of material with hardness up to 65 Rc.
